Ha, I have a feeling you'll find where you need to be. My sister had a line once I really liked. "I'm nobody's judge."
But it's hard to take out of one's mind the idea that the Bible gives you the right to look over the people of the world & decide if you think they're in good shape.
Maybe it's about learning about people & being helpful with difficult conflicts and problems—that "love one another" and '"blessed are the peacemakers" stuff Jesus talks about.
And yes, the traditions repeat information for years, losing track of all reality. Here's more on the idea that 'homosexual' is somehow a Bible word.
